To increase remittances from the diaspora into Nigeria, First Bank of Nigeria Limited has expanded its network of international money transfer operators (IMTOs), enabling its customers to receive money from nearly 100 countries around the globe securely and safely.
Customers can get money from the nearest FirstBank branch, which has over 750 locations around the country.
FirstBank has worked with Western Union, MoneyGram, Ria, Transfast, and WorldRemit over the years. The bank is also working with other IMTOs, such as Wari, Smallworld, Soundwave, Flutherwave, Funtech, Thunes, and Venture Garden Group, to promote remittance inflows into the country, giving Nigerians and residents an advantage in receiving money from their families, friends, and loved ones all over the world.
“Beneficiaries can receive remittance in US dollars in any of our over 750 branches spread across the country. Customers without an existing domiciliary account can have a dollar account automatically created for their remittances. You can also receive an inflow directly into your account through Western Union”.
Furthermore, FirstBank has created its wholly-owned remittance platform, the first global transfer product, to boost international financial transfers among its subsidiaries in Sub-Saharan Africa. FBNBank DRC, FBNBank Ghana, FBNBank Gambia, FBNBank Guinea, FBNBank Sierra-Leone, and FBNBank Senegal are among these subsidiaries.
