A statement signed by Chilos Godsent, President and Zulu Ofoelu, Secretary-General disclosed that the summit will hold at the Main Auditorium of Christ The Good Shepherd, Uzii Mission Centre, Mbaise Road, Owerri, Imo State.

The statement added that the summit with the theme “Timeline of Political Development in Nigeria since 1959-2-21 and its impact on the Igbo Nation” will hold under the chairmanship of Prof. Ukachukwu Awuzie, a former Vice Chancellor of Imo State University, (IMSU), Owerri.

It revealed the participants at the summit to be Igbo political elites, political party chairmen of Igbo extraction, presidents-general of town unions, state chairmen of councils of traditional rulers and senior clergymen and women of Igbo extraction.

Others are state youth presidents, state women presidents-general of town unions, national presidents of student associations of Igbo extraction, executive directors of civil society organizations, non-governmental organizations, academics and political scientists.

INC is a grassroots masses-based organization of Igbo race committed to the Igbo emancipation project. It was established in 2012.

The Igbo have been clamouring to be allowed to produce the country’s president in 2023 being the only major ethnic nationality that is yet to occupy the highest political office in the country.

Happily, the Arewa Support Group for Igbo President in 2023 led by Mustapha Imam at the weekend urged the major political parties to cede their presidential tickets to the Igbo in the interest of equity.

It pledged to support any candidate of Igbo extraction on any of the platform to clinch the presidential diadem in 2023.
