Pradeep Mehra went viral after a video of him running home from work at midnight surfaced on social media.

Mehra who is Indian had refused a free ride offer, stating he needed to run 10km each night to keep himself in formidable shape so he could enrol on the Indian Army.
On Saturday, Mehra was running home after taking a night shift at McDonald’s in Noida when the filmmaker had seen him.
According to BBC News, the filmmaker admitted he offered the man a ride thinking the young man might be in trouble because he had with him a backpack.

The reason the filmmaker shot the video was to ask him questions to see why he refused the offer. He uploaded the video on Sunday evening.
The filmmaker captioned the video on Twitter:
“You will fall in love with this child if you listen to his reason”.
It has gathered more than 6 million views so far.
Mehra explained he ran each night after work due to not having the time during the day to work out.
He claimed the routine would be disturbed if he consented to the free ride.

In response to the filmmaker’s offer of dinner Mehra politely declined, saying he needed to cook for himself and his sibling who also was doing a night shift.
In the morning, he was unable to run because he had to wake early to cook before going to work.
Deputy chief minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, stated he had been replaying the video.
He conveyed interest in the young man and his passion.
Retired Lt General Satish Dua tweeted that he had reached out to a senior Army official and they had talked about Mehra starting training in the army.
