Former President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan, his wife, Dame Patience, Governor Douye Diri and his deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo were among notable personalities that paid their last respect to the departed wife of Chief Diekivie Ikiogha on Saturday.
Speaking at the funeral service at Kpansia, Yenagoa, Jonathan described as heart-breaking the death of a spouse, saying the void created would be hard to fill.

He noted that the late Mrs Ikiogha was a devoted Christian who inspired a lot of people and enjoined the family to sustain the worthy legacies she left behind.
On his part, Governor Diri said the death of wife of the former Chief of Staff, Government House, Pastor (Mrs) Roseline Ikiogha was too painful to imagine.
The Governor, who was represented by his Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, noted that God being the sole controller of life and death cannot be questioned for his decisions.
Media aide to the Deputy Governor, Mr. Doubara Atasi, quoted him to have urged the Ikiogha family to take solace in the fact that the deceased lived a worthy life and is now resting in the bosom of the Almighty God..
He lauded Chief Ikiogha and his departed wife for their contribution to the Church, especially for building and donating a befitting place of worship to the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
According to the Governor, this and other contributions of the Ikiogha Family would enhance the service of God and impact positively on so many lives.
While sympathizing with the Ikioghas, Governor Diri prayed God to comfort those left behind by the late Mrs. Ikiogha and prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul.
