Gov. Ganduje’s son of kano state reports his mother to EFCC over alleged land fraud worth millions of naira.
According to Premium Times, the anti-graft agency, EFCC, invited Hafsat Ganduje, the wife of Kano Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, , last Monday to report for questioning over an alleged bribery and land fraud case lodged by her son, Abdualzeez Ganduje.
Mrs Ganduje was asked to report to the EFCC’s Abuja headquarters last Thursday. According to PremiumTimes, Abdulazeez had reported his mother to the EFCC, according to a close witness, family member abuses their positions of power for personal interest.
According to people familiar with Abdulazeez’s appeal, he claimed that he was approached by a property developer to assist in the acquisition of various plots of land in Kano for hundreds of thousands of dollars and at least 35 million Naira in “facilitation commission.”
Abdulazeez stated he paid the money to his mother, Mrs Ganduje, in dollars. According to Premium Times, “ three months later, (the property developer) discovered that the plots of land he wanted and had paid the first family for, had been allocated to other buyers and he then requested to be refunded,” a source stated.
