A magistrate’s court in Ilorin, Kwara State, has ordered Mufutau Adekola, a farmer, to be detained in the Oke-Kura Correctional Centre for allegedly murdering his mother and brother.

Adekola was apprehended for assassinating his mother, Rafatu, and brother, Mukaila, while they were asleep.

Adekola was charged with culpable homicide under Section 221 of the Penal Code Law, according to the police.
The event occurred on March 9 in Oke-Ode in the state’s Ifelodun Local Government Area, according to the Prosecution Counsel, Insp Folorunsho Zacheaus.

Magistrate Ibrahim Dasuki, who rejectedAdekola’s plea of lack of jurisdiction, ordered his detention till the investigation is been concluded.
The case was deferred until April 25 for additional consideration by Dasuki.
