Tope Lucky, a member of the New Era Oodua People’s congress, has gone into hiding after allegedly killing Wasiu Ogunnaike, another member of the group, in the Epe region of Lagos state
According to a source, some OPC members followed Ogunnaike to a site in Epe, where the suspect allegedly stabbed the 42-year-old following an argument.
The debate, according to our source, centred on the deceased’s involvement in the Eiye Confraternity cult.
Members of the OPC, including Lucky, were claimed to have expelled Ogunnaike after the revelation.
A source told Niger delta connect news they also instructed the victim to return his membership clothes.
But he refused, which led to a fight; he was stabbed to death with a knife by Tope Lucky, who led about five other members to attack Ogunnaike. So, the Epe Police Division was alerted to the incident and they gave the suspects a hot chase and arrested some of them,” he added.
According to reports, Lucky fled into hiding after committing the murder, while the police apprehended three suspects, including Badejo Obafemi, Yusuf Ramon, and Tunde Agbadanla.
