Chidiebere Emenike, a resident of Lagos State, has been charged for stealing a school sound system.
Emenike allegedly took five amplifiers from Bangrayon School, which is located at 72 Moor Street in Ebute Meta West, Lagos.
The defendant was charged with two counts of stealing and one count of conspiracy, but pled not guilty.
Reacting to Emenike’s act, prosecutor, Inspector Kehinde Olatunde, told the court at the court hearing that the defendant had committed the crimes on September 11, 2021, at Bangrayon School, No. 72, Moor Street, Ebute Meta West, Lagos.
The defendant had stolen five amplifiers valued at N5m belonging to a school.
The alleged offences contravened Sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015
The defendant was then granted bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in the same sum by the Chief Magistrate, A.O. Oshoniyi.
The case was adjourned until October 12, 2021, by the magistrate.
