A man whose identity is yet to be ascertained has died in a hotel at Ada George axis of Port Harcourt early Thursday morning few hours after checking into the hotel with a single lady.
A guest in the hotel who did not want his name mentioned in an interview with our correspondent said at about 2am on Thursday morning, the lady who checked in with the deceased man rushed out and knocked at the door of another while raising alarm that the man he came with has slumped.
According to the guest, the manager of the hotel and security men rushed the man to hospital and also informed the Police. The man was confirmed dead at the hospital.
Sources at the hotel disclosed that the lady said the deceased man allegedly took drink suspected to be ‘man power’ at a local gin joint on Tuesday night.
As at press time, the manager and the lady has been detained at Rumupakani (Ada George) Police Divisional Police in Port Harcourt.
The case is expected to be transferred to State Criminal Investigation and and Intelligence Department (SCIID) Port Harcourt for further investigation.
Recall that a man who identified himself as Innocent Udeme had narrated how he was hypnotized by a lady who came to patronize him where he was selling at a place close to Casablanca’ night club at GRA Phase Port Harcourt.
Udeme told our correspondent that after the lady bought the food, the lady who did not eat the food instructed him to follow her and he followed her to a hotel at Evo road off Olu-Obasanjo road.
He explained that he followed the lady at about 3am in the morning on Wednesday to the hotel and on getting there, he could remember that the lady gave him a drink and he slept off.
Udeme, a father of two said he was woken up by the hotel staff who came to check on the room at about 12pm.That he was stripped to pant, his 27,000 naira and three handsets were carted away by the lady who was making attempts to have sex with him before he lost consciousness.
He said the matter was reported at the Abacha road Divisional Police headquarters at GRA phase 2 before he was drove him back to his house Wednesday evening to re-unite with his family.
