A young lady, named Horlamide had an ugly experience she had with a man, whom she described as her boyfriend, and chose to share it on Twitter.

She did not say much about herself other than her name, so it is not clear if she is a working-class lady or not.
Taking to her Twitter handle, Horlamide said she met the guy on Twitter; one thing led to the other and he invited her to his place at Ikeja in Lagos.
Presumably, she must have told the guy she did not have money for transport and he, in turn, must have assured her that would not be a problem because she made the trip to his house.
Unfortunately, however, when she wanted to leave, the guy refused to give her the promised transport fare because she didn’t allow him to have his way with her.
He must have wanted to sleep with her and she objected. The obviously angry young man must have thrown her out of his house, an experience which left her crying and desolate. She trekked all the way back home to Mile 12, Ikorodu.
According to her, “Because I didn’t Allow My Boyfriend To Touch Me, He Let Me Trek Home, From Ikeja To Mile 12”.
Her tweet has elicited lots of reaction from the public, with some lambasting the guy for not being a gentleman and keeping to his words while others blamed her for venturing to go and see a man, for the first time, without having her to and fro transport.
One respondent on Facebook advised her thus:
“Abeg my fellow gender, abeg, no matter who call you to visit or date abeg always hold some change or ATM, because lead us not into temptation is better than deliver us from all evil”.
Nigerdeltaconnect could not immediately ascertain if her reason for sharing her experience was to elicit sympathy from the public and demonize her boyfriend in the process or simply for others to learn from her experience.
