Manchester United will face Granada in the Europa League quarter-finals, while Arsenal have been drawn against Slavia Prague.
According to the draws conducted on Friday, March 19, at the House of European Football in UEFA’s Headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, Ajax continue their European journey against impeccable Roma, while Dinamo Zagreb face Villarreal.
Looking ahead to the semi-finals, the winner of the Granada versus Manchester tie will go head on with the winner of the Ajax/Roma clash while the team that emerges victorious in the battle between Dinamo Zagreb and Villarreal will square up against the better side in the Arsenal versus Slavia Prague encounter.
The two-legged quarter-final games will be played on April 8 and 15, while the semi-finals have been slated for April 29 and May 6, 2021.
This is Granada’s debut season in Europe and their last-eight match against Manchester United will be the first time they are playing an English opposition, reports BBC Sport.
The Red Devils and Ajax are the only previous winners left in the competition. Ajax won it in 1992 will United beat the Dutch side in the competition’s final in 2017.
BBC.com reported that Slavia Prague will be facing a British club for the third time this season having beaten Leicester and Rangers in the previous rounds.
