A group of married women on Tuesday, May 17 staged a rally in Nekede, Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State to express indignation over the snatching of their husbands by upwardly mobile young girls.

Imo

The women numbering about 20 lamented losing their husbands to better curvy young damsels in the community.

The women who bore a banner stormed a particular compound to vent their anger.

They alleged that the younger girls deploy their indecent dressing to snatch their spouses from them, saying they were already fed up with the development.

A video which has gone viral shows the aggrieved women venting their anger in the compound which could be where the hot young girls are quartered.

Their leader said they would henceforth slam a N10,000 fine on any girl caught making out with their husband.

She sounded the gong to seal the imposition of the fine on erring damsels.

A cursory look at the banner shows various indecent dresses in pictures.

A man who seemed to have made the recording from a corner in the building the women stormed explained their bitterness in Igbo language.

Meanwhile, some people have counseled the married women to also dress sexy in order to keep their husbands.

Joseph Opara urged the women to”Go and buy your own and wear at home at least. Stop tying wrapper round the clock, then turn around and blame another girl for attracting your husband”.

Mobi Okorie advised the women to stopping embarrassing themselves but rather blame their randy husbands.

Okorie said; “These women should get a little shame and rest. How can the person who promised you forever decide to embarrass himself and the institution of marriage, instead of talking to him or walking away. You carry placards and enter the streets to further humiliate yourself”.

However, John Nnodim counseled young girls to stop tempting married men with their indecent and obscene dressing.

While advising husbands to also be faithful to their wives, Nnodum enjoined the married women to also dress neatly instead of tying wrapper all the time because they feel they are no longer in the race to win any man’s heart.
