There’s a great joy you derive when at the end of the day, everything you planned for is successful. However, the repulsive feeling you get when you are not able to meet halfway a day’s plan is what you should avoid.
The following tips are the don’ts you should avoid to help you turn your day into a productive one.

Avoid

1. Don’t joke with having a good sleep a night before

If you want your day to be good, then you must begin by having a good sleep. Good sleep is not determined by the hours of sleep but by the quality of sleep. You can have eight hours of sleep and still wake up tired, thereby disrupting your plans for the next day, you can also sleep for just five hours and have quality sleep. The goal is to get the right sleep required.  If you want to have a productive morning till evening, then get a proper night’s sleep the night before.

Research has it that many people suffer restless nights with interrupted sleep. When you are deprived of sleep, your productivity level decreases.

Charlene Tops a blogger, in her article, wrote that ‘’A key element that is preventing many from getting a good night’s rest is the use of electronics. The human body naturally produces melatonin, which aids in sleeping, this can be gravely affected by bright lights.  Begin to practice shutting off all modes of electronics for at least one hour before bedtime and see how this will aid in better sleep, and ultimately, more productive days.’’

2. Don’t delay your plans for the next day

One of the good things you can do for yourself to have a productive day is to plan your task for the next day. It will help you to avoid unproductive days. You can plan the night before. Some successful men and women plan a week before. If you researched their lives, you will discover that early planning and preparation is part of their secrets to success.
Charlene advised that one should not wait till morning to make your “to-do” list and also plan for lunch, instead, she said, set your lists of goals and tasks the night before. When morning comes you will wake up with the direction and as well will be able to start the day off quicker, easier and the result will be productive.

3. Don’t Skip Breakfast

The most important meal of the day is breakfast, yet so many persons miss having it. To have a productive day, you should never avoid breakfast. Breakfast will keep you energized and ready for the day’s activities.

4. Don’t Mis-manage time

Time is very precious, therefore every second of it should be valued. What you do with your time counts and adds to you. Avoid procrastinating and spending time on frivolities.

5. Don’t go to the office with anger

To have a productive day, avoid getting angry before leaving the house for your workplace or business area.

6. Don’t arrive late to work

One of the distractions you can get in trying to achieve a productive day is arriving at your place of work late or getting to a venue late. Try as much as possible to resume earlier than your colleagues. It will allow you to prepare and plan quite a on time without any form of distraction.
