Six years after giving birth to a set of twins, Doris Levi Wilson, a native of Koluama community in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State has given birth to sextuplets.
The babies, four girls and two boys came as a surprise to the family who were not expecting to have that number of children.
Speaking to newsmen in Yenagoa, the mother of the kids, thanked God for blessing her with eight children, after twenty eight years of waiting for a child.
She called on couples waiting on God for such blessings to remain steadfast in faith as God who did it for her will also do it for them, adding that the kids are well and sound.
“It is indeed a miracle. We thank the Almighty God for this children. We waited long to have our own kids before God answered us with a set of twins and then on the 9th of February this year, the sextuplets arrived.
“I call on all women waiting for the fruit of the womb to believe God that he will do it for them at His own time just as He has done it for me. May His name alone be praised”
Her husband, Mr. Levi Wilson, also thanked God for the arrival of the children, describing them as a bundle of blessing and source of joy.
Wilson added that steadfastness in faith and service to God brought them the blessing and urged other couples to keep trusting God and He will answer them.
He expressed optimism that God who gave them the babies will continue to supply the resources needed to sustain them till they are able to fend for themselves.
