Mr Macaroni and others were released from police detention on February 13, 2021. He shared a captivating post on Twitter after he was released.
In his post, he stated that we are all one in Nigeria, irrespective of our tribes. According to him, everyone in Nigeria is his brother. He also noted that it is the government’s responsibility to protect the citizens of Nigeria.
It was reported by TVC news that protesters went in their numbers to Lekki on Saturday to agitate against the reopening of the toll gate, however, many of them were apprehended by the police as they arrived at the toll gate.
Mr Macaroni and other protesters were set free after some lawyers intervened and made sure they were granted bail.
