The Nigerian Navy Finance and Logistics College (NNFLC), Owerrinta, has held its 2021 combined graduation ceremony, with over 70 students graduating from the Long Logistics Management Course, Basic Officers Course, Petty Officers Qualifying Course, Leading Hand Qualifying Course and Basic Qualifying Course.

Speaking at the combined graduation ceremony, held at the Naval Base, Owerrinta, the NNFLC Commandant, Capt Um Bugaje, congratulated the students for successfully going through the six months course, which he said would help them to be better professionals in their field of endeavors.
The College Commandant stated that the knowledge they have acquired was important but good character is key to their success in service.
Capt Bugaje while commending the graduands for their dedication and resilience during the course, urged them to be good ambassadors.

He assured the students of the availability of the college interms of clarification and consultation.
In his address, the governor of Imo State, Sen Hope Usodinma, represented by his Deputy, Prof. Placid Njoku, commended the Nigerian Navy Finance and Logistics College for its successful end of training for the year 2021, adding that training in the different courses are major steps in the career of the students, as well tools for personal and professional development in the Nigerian Navy.
“Let me use this opportunity to commend each of the graduands for your individual commitment and resilience during the course of your training in the college. As an encouragement and sincere words of advice, I urge all those who performed below their expectations to be cheerful and those who achieved their goals, to continue to work hard, as success requires continuous growth”.
The Imo State governor further appreciated the contributions of the college in the internal security of the state, as well as their effective response to national duty, stating that the state government would continue to support the college as already the government has undertook the completion of a 1km road network project in the base.
He, however, thanked the Flag Officer Commanding Naval Training Command for infusing the required elements of character and learning into the graduands and also the college staff and National Youth Corps members, for working tirelessly and dedicating much energy and enthusiasm to complete the courses curricular.
In an interview with the Press, the Second Best Store Assistant in the Petty Officers Qualifying Course Batch 39, LSA Jafaru Happy, thanked God for seeing her through the six months program, which she said has been tasking, commending the school for impacting knowledge in them.
Present at the event were the Secretary to the Abia State Governor, Barr Chris Ezem, the Isialangwa South Local Government Chairman, Iyke Anyatonwu, Naval Officers among others. Also, certificates were issued to graduands and as well decoration of officers.
