The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has seized 621kg of cannabis worth about N17 million, from suspected drug peddlers at the Abuja Estate axis of Old Port Harcourt Township in Rivers State.
The State Commander of the NDLEA, Rachael Shelleng who confirmed the seizure in a statement in Port Harcourt, said cocaine and heroin were also seized from the suspects.
She added that the NDLEA also seized some quantity of cannabis, heroin and methamphetamine drugs from Slaughter area of Trans Amadi, also in Port Harcourt.
In the statement, the NDLEA boss disclosed that three male suspects were arrested in course of the operation by operatives of the agency.
The statement informed that the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded and warned those involved in illicit drugs to desist or be ready to face the law.
