South African Patrice Motsepe has been elected unopposed as the new Confederation of African Football President.
The formal CAF president, Ahmad Ahmad of Madagascar who is presently facing some financial charge misconduct during his tenure is now been replaced by the South African Billionaire Patrice Motsepe at the CAF congress in Morocco today.
According to CAF, Ahmad Ahmad was said to have misappropriated the sum of $10 million during his tenure as the last CAF President and to avoid more misappropriations his hope of re-election was dash out.
In the 64 years of history of African Football governing body, the South African Billionaire becomes the 8th and the first English-Speaking President of Confederation of African Football President.
Many clubs and individuals have now sent in some congratulation messages to the new Confederation of African Football President Patrice Motsepe as seen below:
