NLC Obey Court’s Order, Affirm Sunday Adeleye As National President

The National Industrial Court of Nigeria ordered National Delegates Conference of the Nigeria Civil Service Union has produced new set of leadership.

The conference which was superintended by the Public Trustee, Barrister Monday Ubani appointed by the President of National industrial Court and was supervised by both the the Registrar of Trade Unions, Folanipe Amos and the National President of the Nigeria Labour Congress Comrade, Ayuba Waba who was represented by the National President of AUPCTRE who is also the National Auditor of NLC, Comrade Benjamin Anthony.

The conference which took place at the Conference Hall of Otunsha Hotel limited Keffi, Nasarawa State produced Comrade Oluwole Adeleye Sunday, National President; Comrade Kabiru inuwa, Deputy National President; Comrade Tina Essien, National Deputy President amongst others as National executive.

In his welcome address, the Public Trustee appreciated God for given him the grace to organize an hitch free conference as directed by the President of National industrial Court of Nigeria with the use of 2016 Constitution of the Union and free from any encumbrances.

The National President of NLC, Comrade Ayuba Waba while declaring the conference open admonished the Union members to thread in the path of Peace so as to ensure that the union continue to grow in all ramifications being the first union in Nigeria established in 1912.

In the same vein, the Registrar of Trade Union, Falonipe Amos expressed happiness that the Union was able to conduct the conference in a peaceful atmosphere which added credence to its credibility, he urged members of the Union to be alive to its responsibilities to members.

The General Secretary, Comrade Bomoi Mohammed ibraheem appreciated God for helping the Union to whether the storm of crisis and came out unscathed, he appealed for cooperation from all members and Staff of the Union.

In his acceptance speech, the National President of the Union, Comrade Oluwole Adeleye Sunday promised to abide by the Union constitution and run an inclusive administration that will make the Union regain its lost glory in the comity of Trade Unions in Nigeria.

He appreciated all stakeholders, Delegates to the conference from across the country and members of the Union for the confidence repose in him and all the elected National Officers, he therefore solicited for the cooperation of all and sundries.

On the economy of the country, Comrade Oluwole Adeleye Sunday appealed to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari to come up with credible economic team to redress and address the drifting economic situation of the country to make Nigeria currency stronger.

Comrade Oluwole Adeleye Sunday appealed to Federal Government to quickly solve the unwarranted and tractable prolonged strike of ASUU and other unions in our tertiary institutions to safe the future of Nigeria and Nigerian youths.
