The Bayelsa State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has lauded the Senator Douye Diri-led Prosperity Administration for inaugurating several people-oriented projects in the state.

The congratulatory message, which particularly singled out the Media Complex, which was named after the late media icon, Ernest Ikoli, further said “within two years of the Prosperity Government in the state, Diri has demonstrated that indeed his government is visionary and people oriented”.
The statement expressed optimism that more laudable projects would be commissioned before the end of the administration.

Other projects yet to be inaugurated include the Bayelsa Health Insurance Scheme (BHIS) Complex within the precinct of the State Secretariat, Ovom, the Nembe Unity Bridge in Nembe, Elebele bridge in Ogbia Local Government Area and the bridge linking New Yenagoa City while the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo is expected to perform the ground breaking ceremony of the Angiama bridge, that will take the Central Senatorial District road to Oporoma, headquarters of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area.
