Ondo State government has said it is ready to train about One hundred Aquapreneurs in the Blue Revolution fish value chain.
The state Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), represented by his Deputy, Lucky Ayedatiwa made this known while flagging off the blue Revolution fish value chain training for participants in Akure on Tuesday.
The governor said the project which was to improve fish value chain would open several opportunities like production of fishing and fish farming equipments and materials, Agribusiness, enhance protein intake and improved IGR.
Governor Akeredolu who said that the country was still lacking behind on the United Nations standards in terms of animal protein intake, stressing that the government would partner a company in Netherland, Indigo fisheries in building Aquaculture Resource centre.

Earlier, the SSA to the governor on Agric and Agric business, Pastor Akin Olotu said the one hundred trainees would be exposed to mechanised way of rearing various species of fish for local and international production.
Participants from Ose Local Government, Thomas Monday, James Dupe, Adeyeye Oluwaseyi appreciated Ondo State governor for the opportunity to be part of the training and beneficiaries of the programme.
