Some leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, under the aegis North Central All Progressives Congress Forum have called for the resignation of Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the National Chairman of the party.
This demand is coming on the heels of the defeat of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in last Saturday’s governorship election in Osun State by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The Forum, in a statement released yesterday in Jos, the Plateau State capital and endorsed by its Chairman, Saleh Mandung Zazzaga, alleged that the APC National Chairman, Senator Adamu, is already failing the party and if he continues to remain as the leader of the party, they would suffer great loss in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
According to the group, Senator Adamu had, prior to the election, vowed to deliver Osun State for the APC, but now has failed to deliver and it is a set back to APC and a boost of confidence for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the forthcoming 2023 elections.
The group alleged that since the recent emergence of Senator Adamu as National Chairman of the party, the APC has been going through rapid setbacks, ranging from defection of members to other parties and losing of election like that of a state like Osun State, where the governor is from the party and an incumbent.

They further alleged that Senator Adamu’s arrogant posture and non-tolerance of suggestion and advice has made many members of the party to be disenchanted with the party and have lost faith in the party, as well.
The group also claimed that they have credible information that before the general elections in 2023, many APC leaders and members would be leaving the party to other parties, and such defections would greatly affect their chances in the elections.
