A group, Nembe Local Government Area Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chiefs Forum, has described as beneficial the existing relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government in Bayelsa State.
Chairman of the Forum, Chief D. J. Erewari-Oruwari stated this while congratulating, Rt. Hon. Abraham Ingobere, Speaker of the State Assembly on his one year in office.
He said the harmonious working relationship between the two key arms of government is because of the kind of politics that Governor Douye Diri has introduced in the state.
While felicitating with Hon. Ingobere on the one year anniversary, he urged him to continue to lead the assembly to support the prosperity administration for the overall interests of Bayelsans.
He said, “As a former sergeant at arms, I have watched with keen interest for the past one year the harmony with which the Speaker and the Bayelsa State House of Assembly had worked peacefully and cooperatively with Governor Diri.
“This, I think is a good development for the prosperity administration and, I, therefore, urge Mr speaker to maintain this cordial and harmonious working relationship”.
Also speaking, Chief Alfred Imbasi – Atiegha, Vice Chairman of the Forum, thanked the honourable members for giving Ingobere the opportunity to serve as the Speaker.
On his part, the spokesman of the Forum, Chief Opuene Nicholas said Ingobere is a man of peaceful disposition, God fearing, unassuming and diligent in the discharge of his official duties and prayed God to grant him more wisdom as he continues to lead the assembly.
