In a swift reaction to the current rifts and feuds running high in the caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party, the PDP, the Reconciliation and Strategy Committee of the party have moved to rub minds with former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
The committee which was set up and chaired by former Nigeria’s Senate president Bukola Saraki, was kicked off last year.
Some prominent political leaders of the committee include, Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim, and ex-governor of Cross River State Liyel Imoke, former Gombe Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo; ex-Katsina Governor Ibrahim Shema and Hon. Mulikat Akande.
Chairman of the committee, Saraki revealed this via his twitter handle this afternoon in a video showing Former President Goodluck receiving the party stakeholders at his residence.
As part of our efforts to listen to the concerns of key stakeholders across our great party, this afternoon, the @OfficialPDPNig Reconciliation & Strategy Committee is meeting with our immediate past President, H.E. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (@GEJonathan). pic.twitter.com/67wNosNnmq

This may not be unconnected to the recent rumours on rampage speculating that the ruling All Progressives Congress may be nursing plans to field former president and high profile leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan as its presidential candidate come 2023.
Although Pres. Goodluck has not relayed such intentions to the public, these assumptions are largely drawn from his frequent visits to President Muhammadu Buhari in the Aso Villa.
Bukola Saraki in his resolution has promised to work extensively to ensure progress and success of the party in the nearest future.
