The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the shift in date of its South West zonal Congress scheduled to hold on April 10, 2021.
This was relayed to newsmen by the The deputy National publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Diran Odeyemi.
It will be recalled that the party has earlier slayed April 10 for it’s zonal Congresses to hold in the south west and the north central, however Governor of Oyo State Seyi Makinde had sent a strong warning to the PDP against a possible postponement of the exercise.
Diran while speaking on a radio program disclosed that the congress haven been moved to a later but undisclosed date, adding that the decision was taken in the best interest of the party.

Why is April 10 so important? Who is afraid of another date? Preliminary investigation has shown that it is not safe to conduct the election in Ibadan because of the fear of possible breakdown of law and order
Asked if he was speaking on behalf of the National Working Committee, Odeyemi said “I am telling you what I know! That is what will happen”.
Diran in his interview session also revealed that other zones may not be affected.
