The Rivers State Police command has confirmed the abduction of two passengers in Rivers State.
The passengers were reportedly whisked away from Emohua-Kalabari Road in the afternoon.
It was learnt that the two victims were on their way to a Kalabari community when they were rounded up by the assailants.
Police spokesperson Grace Iringe-Koko, who confirmed the incident, said policemen, had been deployed to secure the freedom of the victims
Iringe-Koko said: Police are aware of the incident, adding that there were two passengers and a driver in the vehicle.
She said the driver escaped and the two passengers were kidnapped.

Recall that gunmen suspected to be cultists had on the 1st of April, 2022 killed two persons in a farm road in Obelle Community in Emohua LGA, Rivers State.
A local Chief and former acting Chairman of Community Development Committe (CDC) in Obelle, Eze Anele Israel in a telephone interview with or correspondent said two persons, named Ibari and one other were killed in Obelle on Friday by unknown gunmen on their way back from farm.
Eze Anele told our reporter that the killing has resulted to panic in the community as some natives are fleeing the community.
He disclosed that the incident has been reported to the Police and the Nigerian Army while efforts are on to apprehend the culprits.
Our correspondent reports that the killing in Obelle comes days after reported killing of four persons in neighbouring Ibaa community in Emohua LGA.
In the meantime, the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident, saying that the commissioner of police CP Friday Eboka has deployed six patrol teams to the community to safe lives and properties.
Rivers State Police Command also confirmed that a commercial passenger bus was hijacked by gunmen along the Emohua road two days ago.
The bus which left Port Harcourt was on the Emohua-Kalabari Road when it was hijacked.
