Operatives of the Anti kidnapping unit in Bayelsa State have arrested two members of a suspected gun running gang in the state capital, Yenagoa.
The suspects; Seibo Dokubo (32 years), a native of Degema in Rivers State and Boma Daniel (45 years), a native of Patani, Delta State were arrestes at a Brothel following a tip-off.
Spokesman of the state police command, Asimin Butswat, who confirmed their arrest said the the suspects wanted to procure AK-47 Riffles for Kidnap purposes.
According to Butswat, One Brownie Pistol loaded with eight .9mm ammunition, three 12.7mm expended ammunition, sum of two million naira cash and a suspected stolen Toyota Hilux 2021 model without registration number, were recovered from them.
He noted that the suspects are cooperating with Police in it’s investigation, adding that they will be charge to court at the conclusion of the investigation.
