The Nigeria Police Force has promoted 105 officers in the Imo State Command. The officers have been decorated with their new ranks.

Decorating the officers on Thursday, the state Commissioner of Police (CP), Mohammed Ahmed Barde congratulated them on their promotion.
CP Barde charged them to live up to the tasking responsibilities attached to their new ranks.
Barde stressed that promotion is a call to higher responsibility, adding that they should not disappoint the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba in carrying out their statutory duties.
The promoted officers were Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Cletus Nwadiegbu, Deputy Commissioner of Police DCP Denis Anyi, an Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Dike Albert and four Deputy Assistant Superintendent of Police, one of whom is DSP Margaret Anyanwu.

Others are 18 Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP 1) who were confirmed on the rank.
They are ASP Augustina Kuru, ASP Elobuike Emmanuel and 16 others while 80 Police Inspectors were promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP II).
In his vote of thanks, the newly promoted DCP Cletus Nwadiegbu, on behalf of other promoted officers appreciated the Inspector General Police (IGP) Alkali Baba Usman for approving their promotion.
He equally thanked the Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Ahmed Barde and members of his management team for seeing them worthy for the elevation and promised that they will live up to their requisite responsibilities with regards to their new ranks.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Barde was assisted in decorating the officers by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, In charge of State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), DCP Mohammed Mustapha Bala, DCP Peter Opara Ukachi, in-charge of Administration, DCP Femi Haruna, in-charge of Operations Department, ACP Okoi Archbong Akpama second in command State CIID, ACP Suliman Ladi, second in command ‘A’ Department, Head of Departments, Area Commanders, their loved ones, wives and husbands of the promoted officers.
