Popular Bayelsa Hypeman and entertainer, Major Phylix Tariebi has taken to social media to complain about the Vice-Chancellor of Niger Delta University.
Recall, that students of the state-owned university, Niger Delta University (NDU), Amassoma, in the Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa state protested against wearing school uniforms and the impromptu closing of the school fees portal.
Tariebi took to his Facebook page to decry the directive. The hype man suggests that the current Vice-Chancellor of the school is acting like the President of Nigeria; adding that banning Twitter and imposing school uniforms on university students are in the same category of irrationality.
He further urged the VC to change his ways or step down from his office, insisting that the previous VC was humble to a fault; footing the bills of students who could not afford to pay their fees.
He wrote: “Professor Humphrey Remains NDU’s BEST VC of all Time he was so humble and uncompromising not this wannabe DIGITAL VC(yahoo VC moving around with convoy like say him be president) we know you and your boys have been using the word “digital” to deceive those old men you work for (and na Deeper life pastor oh) please change your ways.
“Professor Samuel na ANALOG man because how can you want university students to wear uniform what type of thinking is that… Don’t you want to move forward in life?… How did you even arrive at this archaic thought.. it is impossible to think that rubbish unless you are working hand in hand with Buhari.
“Banning Twitter and Telling university students to wear the uniform is in the same Group chat…
Prof. HUMPHREY paid school fees for students who could not afford them, Samuel I don’t know the deal you signed with the former government please sir step down… Go back to the pulpit NDU no be deeper Life.”
