President Muhammadu Buhari has declared that his administration would not allow the educational system fall into ruins.
President Buhari disclosed this in a statement issued on Saturday by his spokesman, Garba Shehu.
Meanwhile, President Buhari has commended the efforts of the Kaduna State Government and the swift response of the military, which led to the rescue of 180 students, including eight members of staff.
President Buhari also lauded the synergy and contributions of local intelligence in significantly thwarting the kidnappers, saying that a country which has an efficient local intelligence network is a safer country.
Speaking further, he urged the military to ensure that the other students declared missing be found and returned safely to their families.
According to him, “Our military may be efficient and well-armed but it needs good efforts for the nation’s defence and the local population must rise to this challenge of the moment”, reports Daily Post.
President Buhari, who expressed compassion to the victims of the tragic incident, said he would ensure the release of those still held captive.
