Tension is reported in Elele Alimini Clan in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State following the killing of an OSPAC member who has been confirmed dead and one other individual whose death is yet to be confirmed.
The Vice Chairman of Elele Alimini Community Development Committee, Christian Chuku was reported beaten to death by OSPAC members in the area resulting to reprisal attack from village youths who murdered the OSPAC member identified as John Amadi.
Chuku was reported to have had issues with OSPAC members over the weekend before he was allegedly beaten to unconscious and rushed to hospital and was later rejected before family members took him away from the hospital to dump him at the OSPAC office after they perceived that he was lifeless.
Family relative to Chuku, Ugo Wilfred said the remains of their brother have been taken away by OSPAC members to unknown destination which led them to chase the OSPAC members and destroyed their camp.
OSPAC members in Elele Alimini and Emohua in general are yet to comment on the killing of their member and react to the allegations of killing of Christian Chuku
“I know that some people in this community have been targeting my brother, the CDC chairman is here, everybody in this community I have reported this matters to, but look at the result.
“I even told my brother to be careful with some persons he called friends but he would not listen.
“But I promise those behind this, that they will not go unpunished, I will personally fish them out, I know them.
“Yes when the incident happened, I called the divisional police station in Elele here, but it took them time before they came.”
However, when our Correspondent contacted the Police Public Relations Officer in Rivers State, SP Nnamdi Omoni, he said he is yet to receive the information.
He also promised to act as soon as the information gets to him from the police division at the place.
