The Commander of C4i Unit of Rivers State Police Command, Paul Obot-Umoh has disclosed the commitment of the state government and in collaboration of the Police Command in reviving the unit to meet the standard in keeping the state insecurity free.
Obot-Umoh, who is of the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police who made the disclosure when members of South South Youth Initiative visited his office in Port Harcourt said efforts are geared towards ensuring that C4i meets up the target in crime fighting.
The C4i Commander while disclosing that operatives of the unit is all over the twenty three Local Government Areas of the state, urged members of the public to assist the unit in the fight against crime and criminality.
Earlier, the National President of South South Youth Initiative, Saviour Imeabe in his address said the visit was to boost the moral of the C4i commander and his men for their efforts in fighting crime just as he encouraged members of the public to see fighting of insecurity as every one’s business in other to have a more saved Rivers State.
“We are basically here to see how we can work together in terms of intelligent information in fighting crime in Rivers State.
“First of all we must commend you for your relentless efforts and undivided attention in ensuring that there is stability in the state in terms of security.
“We are aware that security is every ones business, if we must succeed and do businesses in Rivers State, then security of lives and properties must be taking very seriously.
“And so be rest assured that we are behind you, and we shall provide any intelligent information required to assist you to fight crime in the state.
C4i is the initiative of Rivers State government to partner with security agencies to tackle crime and criminality across the twenty three Local Government Areas of the state.
