The Rivers State Police has promoted and decorated officers of the Command. They are, Usman Ocheneka Yakubu, Zakari Shuaibu, Amanyi Christopher.
In a statement by the acting spokesperson of the command, DSP Grace Iringe-Koko said the senior officers were promoted from the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police to Assistant Commissioner of Police while four (4) other officers were promoted from the rank of Superintendent of Police to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police.
The Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Command, CP Friday Eboka who decorated the newly promoted officers at the Police Officers’ Mess on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Alkali Baba Usman, called on the officers to justify their elevations by rededicating themselves to greater service.
CP Friday Eboka stated that it is gladdening and of great joy to see those who he has been working with, get promoted and elevated in their chosen career.

The Commissioner thanked the Inspector General of Police and the Police Service Commission for finding the officers worthy of the elevation.
The occasion was well attended by the spouses and relatives of the newly promoted officers alongside other senior officers of the Rivers State Police Command.
Recall that the Rivers state Police Command now had a new Public Relation Officer, to pilot the affairs of the command in the state.
Our correspondent reports that the DSP Grace Woyengikuro Iringe-koko took over from SP Nnamdi Omoni, who has been redeployed as the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Elimgbu Division.
The new PPRO until her appointment was the Deputy Public Relations Officer and hails from Okolobiri Town in Yenegoa LGA of Bayelsa State.
The new DPO Elimgbu Division, SP Nnamdi Omoni while handing over to the new PPRO, DSP Iringe-koko urged the general public to work and assured that the new PPRO will do better.
Meanwhile the new PPRO, Grace Woyengikuro Iringe-koko promised to build on the legacies of the outgoing PPRO and solicits the cooperation of the public to succeed in her new appointment, while appreciating the CP and his team for the opportunity to serve.
