Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, a presidential aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, says his priorities would be to tackle corruption and poverty in the country, if he is elected as the president of Nigeria in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
He also promised to deal with insecurity, injustice and marginalization; take out those things that cause endemic corruption in our system; enforce or rules and laws and most importantly modelling integrity.
He further disclosed that in the course of his consultations in the thirty six states of the country and the federal capital territory, FCT, he has been able to identify the challenges facing Nigeria, noting that he has already mapped out solutions to these challenges.
While addressing newsmen in Lagos ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential primary scheduled to hold in Abuja this weeked, Mazi Ohuabunwa declared that he is ready for the presidential primary of the party.
He explained that he has done at least two trips to the 36 states of the country and met with his party delegates, leaders and party members and that these tours really exposed him to the real issues and challenges the country is facing as well as the opportunities that Nigeria has.
Ohuabunwa remarked that as he travelled through the roads, he saw a large expanse of arable lands that he believes could be converted to pure agricultural opportunities for Nigeria through dedicated commercial farming.

He said they also saw the condition of the people, as the essence of governance is to improve the condition of lives of the people.
He stressed that his tours across the country has shown him the level of work he needs to do to take Nigeria away from its current situation, as he has also seen the economic deprivation that lies in the different parts of the country even when we are sitting on top of great economic potential.
