A supporter to the Indigenous People of Biafra, and the Second in Command to Eastern Security Network (ESN) Awurum Eze, believed to have masterminded the recent killings in Imo State, has been arrested by the Nigerian Army.
Earlier attempts were made on May 4, 2021 by Intelligence Response Team (IRT) to apprehend the IPOB member who is perceived to be a henchman to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in his home town in Isiala Mbano where he was hiding but proved futile.
According to reports from the Nigerian army, Emurum Eze is said to be the brain behind the masterminding of the recent killings in Imo State
From records, it was unraveled that Eze, is a 47-year-old native of Umoneke Nta, Isiala-Mbano LGA, Imo State, and a die-hard member of the IPOB believed to have a direct link to the leader of the IPOB Nnamdi Kanu.
He was eventually apprehended by security operatives in Aba in the late hours of May 12, 2021. From sources, several IPOB members were apprehended by security operatives.
Eze has been on the wanted list of securities operatives before he was finally apprehended. The Nigerian Army, however, said with him in their custody, they will have leads to fish out other members terrorizing the nation.
