Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu has felicitated with the Senator representing Imo West at the National Assembly, Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha on the occasion of his 59th birthday anniversary on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.
Anyanwu, who served as Senator for Imo East District between 2015 and 2019 described Okorocha as a tireless philanthropist, who philanthropic gestures are unequaled.
Anyanwu remarked that Senator Okorocha is a man with penchant for love to one another, saying that at 59, the senator has made great impact on both human and capital development in the society which cannot be forgotten in a hurry.
In a statement issued by his media aide, Ikenna Onuoha, Anyanwu stated that Okorocha represents a modern-day socio-political, and economic reference point, pointing out that his contributions to the improvement of education and social growth through “Rochas Foundation” cannot be overemphasized.
Senator Anyanwu therefore congratulated him for impacting on the lives of the vulnerable and less-privileged populations in the society.
The former Chairman, Senate Committee on Public Petitions urged who governed Imo State from 2011 to 2019 not to be deterred in his bid to provide people-oriented programmes, interventions, outreaches and advocacies for nation-building.
Similarly, Senator Anyanwu has described the appointment of Senator Ifeanyi Godwin Araraume as Board Chairman, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporations (NNPC) as well-deserved and meritorious.
He maintained that such appointment should be viewed as another rare opportunity to impact on the lives of the less privileged as he has always done in the past.
Anyanwu appealed to the senator not to allow the exigencies of his office to deter him from contributing his quota for state and nation-building.
He prayed God to avail both Senators Okorocha and Araraume with good health to continue to soar higher in life, even as he advised them to use this period to reconcile with God and humanity.
