Terkula Suswam, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ashitech Group of Companies, and elder brother to former Benue State Governor, Senator Gabriel Suswan, has been reportedly shot dead by unknown gunmen in Benue.
According to reports, the tragic incident happened on Tuesday night, between the hours of 7 and 8 p.m. at a filling station in Anyiin, Logo Local Government Area in Benue State.
It was gathered that the deceased was assassinated alongside his aide, simply identified as Mr Solomon, in a building directly opposite his private residence in the town. Terkula was said to have been supervising repairs at a project site when the suspected gunmen, who were said to have arrived in a Toyota Corolla, reportedly opened fire on both men and ensured they were dead before they sped off.
A source said Terkula attempted to run away but was gunned down before he could escape. Before his death, the elder Suswam was an industrialist, owner of Ashiwaves, an F.M. radio station in the state, a chieftain of the PDP and holder of the traditional title Zege Iwanger I Tiv.
