Forty-two Fulani men from the northern part of the country have been repatriated
to their various states of origin from Ondo State by operatives of the South West security outfit, Operation Amotekun.
While parading them in Akure, the state capital, commander of the Amotekun corps, Adetunji Adeleye said “the men claimed they came for a private firm security training. The explanation provided by them were not satisfactory to the state government.”
We learnt that the men and women were arrested in Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state last Thursday.
Their arrival created unnecessary tension and apprehension among many residents of the community.
Adeleye added, “These people who came from Jigawa and Kano states were said to have come for a mission unknown to government. Their agent was said to have invited them for a special training.”
Amotekun commander said after interrogating them, they could not give satisfactory answers about their mission.
