Fire has razed down four shops with goods worth millions of naira due to spark from high tension wire when PHED brought power.
The four lockup shops located at No 92 Ikwerre road by Anozie street mile 2 Diobu Port Harcourt were badly affected which contained a sporting wear shop, generator set shop, retailed rug shop and almanac rim/paper shop all engulfed by fire.
According to eyewitness the fire started around 8pm in the night, caused by electricity spark from the high tension in front of a container shop close to the sporting wear shop when the power came as the spark ignite the fire which trace the electricity wire connecting the shops.
Our correspondent reports that with the help of the fire service who came some minute after the fire started were able to put off the inferno with the assistance of the youths in the area with no life lost.

Our correspondents also reports that the DPO of Azikiwe Division police station and his officer were also on ground to protect lives and properties.
Recall that Fire outbreak at Nembe-Bille waterside close to Creek Road market in Port Harcourt had last year destroyed goods and properties.
An eyewitness said the fire emanated from a local boat loaded with an illegal petroleum refined products popularly called Kpofire.
Our correspondent reports that the fire that lasted over two hours destroyed over 7 giant local boats.
Also, properties worth millions of naira vanished yesterday in Rumuagholu community in Obio Akpor Local Government Area following a fire outbreak.
The fire which started at about 1:30pm, destroyed at least two duplex structures and equally threatened a nearby commercial bank building along East West Road in the Rumuokoro area.
A source told newsmen that some persons were involved in illegal oil bunkering activities in the compound the fire started.
Meanwhile, the state Commissioner for Special Duties, Emeka Onuowo, confirmed to our correspondent that the fire service personnel battled four separate fire outbreaks at the same time.
Recall that fire from suspected flammable substance stored in a nearby warehouse at Isiokpo Street Dline axis of Port Harcourt, on Saturday night wrecked properties worth millions of naira.
Eyewitness said the fire stretched over 50metres of surrounded building and was continuously burnt as residents watch their valuables, properties vanished.
Another source said the worst hit is the National Institute for Information Technology (NIIT) office complex located at Number 1 Kaduna Street Opposite Fruit Garden, Dline Line, Port Harcourt.
