The Wire star, Michael K Williams was found dead at his New York City apartment on Monday.
His death has come as a shock to fans.
Hollywood actors have been paying their respect to him; reportedly, co-star of the series, Clarke Peters affirmed what a kind man the dead star had been and that he was mostly about teamwork.
Popular movie maker, Spike Lee admits on his Instagram handle that he is still shocked by the news and that the actor had been a brother to him.
The creator of The Wire, David Simon, said he felt too sullen to mention things he is meant to tell concerning the actor, and to him, the actor had always deserved the best things to be said.
There are raised suspicions that the actor had died due to drug overdose, however, this has not been confirmed by investigators.
Reasons tightly linked to these suspicions are that the actor who had qualified for three Emmys had mentioned struggling with his intake of drugs in the progression of the years.
In the series, The Wire, he had starred as Omar who was gay and a smart robber of drug groups.

Oscar-winner, Viola Davis, tweeted how aggrieved she is that a fellow actor was gone and extended condolences to his loved ones.
Several other actors have paid respect and offered their condolences.
During his starring on The Wire, he had mentioned in an interview regarding his drug use that he was toying with fire and he knew it, while he feared that he might someday end up locked behind bars or in something much extreme.
