Former senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Shehu Sani, has said the only region that is comparatively peaceful in the country is the South-South geopolitical zone.
Senator Shehu SaniSani disclosed this while reacting to the deplorable security situation in the country, saying the south south has maintained an impressive level of peace despite the series of worrisome security reports in some other parts of the country.
The former senator also said the country’s economy is still bubbling because the oil rich region which contributes the bulk of the country’s income, has not been hijacked by insecurity.
Shehu Sani in his tweet implored Nigerians to be grateful that the region which houses the major heart beat of the country’s economy, (oil) was still in a stable condition unlike some other parts of the country that have been ravaged by a high surge of insecurity.
His tweet:
The only region that is comparatively peaceful is the South South;that’s why the Heart of the economy is still beating, despite the bloodshed and violence in the other regions. We should all be grateful for that.
