Bayelsa is a very beautiful place that you will love to visit, it is saidto be the glory of all lands. The state is made up of eight local Government, which is, Yenagoa LGA, Ogbia LGA, Nembe LGA, Brass LGA, Southern Ijaw LGA, Kolokuma Opokuma LGA, Sagbama LGA, Ekeremor LGA. Bayelsa state is surrounded by waters, and trees. The state also have nice hotels, and gardens.
Coming to Bayelsa, you will first get to Yenagoa LGA, which is the capital of Bayelsa state, that is made up of Epie and Atissa language spoken, the first community you will meet is called Igbogene.
Coming down you will get to a place called Tombia Round About. Tombia has high level of robbery and Civil unrest, our advise for you here as a driver is that, you should ensure that your doors are lock, your car glass is up.
Tombia has two junction, one will lead you to Amassoma, where the Niger Delta University are, then the other one will take you to Ogbia LGA, Nembe LGA, and Brass LGA.
Driving down from Tombia, you will get to the Government house, which is the Yenagoa main town, from Government house, you will get to Down Yenagoa, and Swalli community. The Swalli has the largest market in Bayelsa state, and also has high level of robbery and civil unrest. You should be careful when traveling by foot.
Swalli is the place that you will be able to use the water transport to Southern Ijaw LGA. The Southern ijaw areas has high level of kidnappers and crime. Our advise for you is that you take advise from a traveling agent first, before making a trip. Presently , there is a community called Peremabiri in Southern ijaw that you can not go through by 6pm
Now talking about, Sagbama LGA, Kolokuma Opokuma LGA, and Ekeremor LGA, mostly Sagbama LGA, is one of the most beautiful place in Bayelsa State that you will love to visit. Sagbama has a community called Toro Orua, where the University of Africa is situated, from Sagbama you can easily get to Ekeremor LGA.
But if you are driving to Sagbama, you will first get to Kolokuma Opokuma LGA, where the serving Governor is from.
