Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo has called out the All Progressives Congress (APC) for using his song at their presidential primary without his permission.
This is coming weeks after the singer was slammed for singing his popular song, ‘Great Nation’ at the ceremony of Atiku Abubakar’s declaration for the 2023 presidency.
Last night during the APC’s special convention to elect the party’s presidential flagbearer for the 2023 general elections, Timi Dakolo’s song ‘Great Nation’ was played as Nollywood actors were presented on stage at the convention ground.
The singer who was not so pleased with this act disclosed that people get away with many things in Nigeria, further revealing that this is the second time it is happening.
He tweeted: “Why to Use an Artiste’s Song without their permission in a rally or campaign. The things people get away with in this country called Nigeria. This is the second time”.
