A young man simply identified as Justice from Rivers State was found death with rope tied on his neck and hung on a tree at back of Octopus Sandfill jetty at Eagle Island on Sunday.
The man is a member of Tipper Drivers Association of Nigeria, Eagle Island branch.
When our correspondent visited the place, the members of the association where in an emergency meeting over the incident.
The South-South Zonal Chairman of the Association, Prince Barifodum confirmed receiving the report of the death of their member Justice but said he could not comment further on the matter as he is yet to get details.
When our reporter contacted the acting spokesperson for the Rivers State Police command, DSP Grace Iringe Koko, she said she would get back to our reporter but was yet to do so as at time of filing the report.

As at press time, the Azikiwe Divisional Police headquarters has evacuated the corpse of the alleged suicide.
Recall that Two female children aged 12, 13 years and a ten year old boy were rescued at Mile 3 Diobu last Thursday, 27th January, 2022 by Chief Security Officer of Nkpolu, Oroworukwo, Mile 3 Diobu, Port Harcourt, Godstime Ihunwo at about 10pm.
Godstime Ihunwo told our correspondent that while on patrol with his men he saw the three children with their luggage and upon interrogating them, they said they ran out of their home due to alleged ill-treatment and ‘sex’ slavery they were experiencing.
Ihunwo disclosed that he brought them to his office and informed a human rights advocacy group.
He said the children informed him that their former Anty, Blessing Ibilaba who is late told them they were taken from orphanage home and their present guardian who is the woman’s brother took custody of them after her death. But his son has turned them to a sex slave taken turns in them.
Meanwhile the Centre For Basic Rights Protection and Accountability Campaign has narrated it role in the matter.
Gladys Onyenmwen a member of the organization told Journalists that on getting the information, they took the children to Rumulomeni Police Division at Iwofe, where the guardian resides.
Onyenmwen said the organization has informed the Ministry of Social Welfare, Rivers State.
She said, “Our major concern is the revelation made by the underage girls that the son to their present guardian, who is a Youth Corper allegedly defiled them and has constantly raped them”.
“We are demanding that a through investigation should be carried out with a view to serving justice in the matter to all the parties in the matter”.
As at press time the children has been handed over to the Ministry of Social Welfare, Rivers State by the Centre for Basic Rights while the said Youth Corper is said to be serving outside Rivers State.
