Kemi Olunloyo, a controversial journalist, has expressed her displeasure with the announcement of popular Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh as Rivers State’s deputy governor candidate.
People online have had mixed reactions since Tonto Dikeh officially emerged as the flag bearer of her party to run for deputy governor of Rivers state, as they compared her social lifestyle to how she may be in person.
Kemi described the online brawl they both had a few weeks ago, which prompted the actress to flee Abuja for Lagos state in search of the journalist. Olunloyo reminded followers that the actress had threatened her online just 60 days before she went to Lagos with the sole intention of beating her up until Lagos state police warned her to stop making threats.
In a video, the controversial journalist stated that Tonto Dikeh, who is aspiring for such a position, is a no-go area for her because Rivers state is not for sale or cruise. The controversial journalist believes the actress is unfit to lead because she cannot manage her own life and certainly cannot lead Rivers State.
She tweeted: “Tonto aspiring to be the deputy governor of Rivers State in 2023. Rivers state is NOT for sale or cruise. Just 60 days ago this woman threatened me as a journalist and came to Lagos to specifically beat me. @LagosPoliceNG warned her to STOP making threats. Definitely cannot lead”.
