Embattled governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma says his government would soon unmask, and bring to book, sponsors of security breaches in the state.
Governor Uzodinma disclosed this on Saturday in his broadcast to mark this year’s May Day celebration.
He said investigation into the security breaches, which the state had witnessed in recent times has reached advanced stage and its outcome would soon be made public.
The governor reiterated that disgruntled politicians working in concert with militants and criminal elements were behind the terror being witnessed in the state.
He noted that his administration was confronted by the challenges of empty treasury and the global coronavirus pandemic at inception.
The governor stated that in spite of the daunting challenges, his administration has been able to record some achievements.
He listed the achievements to include providing a conducive working environment for workers and digitalizing the fiscal operations of the state to provide an automated payroll system.
Governor Uzodimma who said his administration pays workers as and when due, disclosed that it has constructed 22 roads while 24 others were on-going.
