The Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 stated that all citizens below 18 years of age would not be receiving the Covid-19 vaccine.
Dr Olorunnimbe Mamora , Minister of State for Health, has disclosed the Federal Government’s point plan to vaccinate over 70 percent of Nigerians within a duration of 2 years.
Also, it was revealed that the President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha and other high profile Nigerians would be administered the vaccine on a live Television broadcast on Saturday, March 6 .
The Executive Director/CEO, National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Dr Faisal Shuaib made this revelation while speaking at a joint national briefing of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 in Abuja.
The public administration of the vaccine on the president and some other elites is in a bid to change the perspective of the vaccine and its importance to Nigerians, Shuaib said.
