Ogbonna Nwuke, Rivers APC spokesperson, revealed that the cause of delay in commencing the party’s registration and revalidation exercise was due to the fact that some members of the revalidation committee in the state were still undergoing training in preparation for the exercise.
Nwuke while speaking, hinted that materials needed for the exercise have been transported into the state already.
The exercise will commence any moment from now. We could not start because those to be deployed in the field were undergoing training. They have now completed their training.
They were trained by party officials from the national level. We have all the materials for the exercise and party members are eagerly waiting for it.
It will be recalled that some donations to support the exercise were made by some high profile politicians in Rivers State to ensure the success of the exercise.
The member representing Tai-Eleme-Oyigbo Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Chisom Promise Dike recently donated N500,000 to support the revalidation in his constituency.
The Hon. Member also called on party stakeholders and members of the revalidation committee to ensure a free and transparent process.
