Following the appointment of former Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as Director General of the World Trade Organization, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated the development economics on her new appointment..
Reacting to the recent confirmation of Okonjo-Iweala, the APC described the development as a pointer in the right direction, especially for marginalized groups like women.
This reaction was made public via a tweet from the official twitter handle of the party.

It will be recalled that Okonjo-Iweala was confirmed as Director General of the World Trade Organization, yesterday, February 15, 2021.
Also, former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, has congratulated Okonjo-Iweala.
Goodluck Jonathan in a statement via twitter, expressed confidence in his former cabinet member, saying her leadership at the World Trade Organization will bring about improved trade relations across all 164 member nations of the WTO.
