Head Coach, Fabian Hurzeler has been named Premier League's manager of the month for August after leading Brighton & Hove Albion to an unbeaten start this season in the 31-year-old's debut month in charge.
The Seagulls, picked up seven points from their first three league games, with victories over Everton away and Manchester United at home, followed by a draw at Arsenal.
The 31-year-old was selected after combining public votes with those from a panel of football experts.
Coach Fabian, has become the youngest ever to win the award, beating his fellow nominees, Manchester City's Pep Guardiola, and Liverpool's Arne Slot, whose teams have made a perfect start to the season with nine points.
Brighton’s coach, Fabian aside being the youngest ever to win the award, it’s the first time an Albion boss has won the prize since Chris Hughton in February 2018.
On Friday, Fabian Hurzeler said in a statement, "I think it's always nice to win a trophy and it confirms your work. It's not only my work though – it's the work from the whole club, it's the work from my staff members, the work from my players."
"In the end all who are working in the club and our togetherness that has won this trophy. I'm really happy and now it's about winning the next trophy."
Considering his brilliant start in the Premier League, Fabian added: “So for me, it was time to reflect and to reanalyze the first weeks. I think it's very important to reflect yourself, to reflect what was going good so far, what we can improve. That was the first thing that I did.
Furthermore, on X (formerly twitter) @Brighton & Hove Albion tweeted Fabian’s acknowledgment of his staff dedication towards receiving his first Barclays Manager of the Month accolade.
"I'm very grateful for having these people around me," Fabian said.
Prior to this season, Ange Postecoglou, Australian manager won the award in his first month at Tottenham Hotspur.
Brighton under new manager Fabian Hürzeler have made a superb start to life, remaining unbeaten across all competitions, W3 & D1, and headed into the international break sitting inside the top four.
However, winning their last eight premier league matches in September serves a positive omen for the club football, scoring 3+ goals in each of their last four victories over the course of the month.
Meanwhile Brighton will be in Premier League clash against Ipswich Town at the Amex Stadium this Saturday.
